An Impression of the 1999 China Festival
Chinese civilization has shaped its response to the mystery of
life through the arts.

towards a concern for arts and the art of friendship–to a contemplation
of beauty in which, perhaps, we may find new ways of speaking that

Seeking such an encounter, 300 artists, educators, businessmen,
and other participants from twenty countries engaged in a historic
exchange in Kunming, China. It was made possible through the language
of the arts.
This DVD gives a glimpse of what happened. Beauty, meaning, and
hope, celebrated together with the Chinese people, changed us all.
